From idea to scope

How a Remodeling Project Begins

A practical path from first inquiry to a defined scope: share the condition, discuss options, verify constraints, and document decisions.

Residential projects / Metro Detroit

1. Describe the existing condition

Send the property location, project type, photos, and the issue you want to solve. A short, precise brief is more useful than a polished design with missing measurements.

2. Review constraints

We discuss budget range, timing goals, room access, utilities, and any permit or design questions that need answers. Work affecting structure or regulated systems may require drawings or specialists.

3. Put decisions in writing

A workable proposal should specify inclusions, exclusions, allowances, change approval, and the sequence of work. Keep a shared record of selections so the plan remains clear as the project develops.
