What to Ask About Shower Waterproofing

Photographs before tile can help record the water-control layer. Discuss how the assembly will be checked before it is covered.
Bring this into the planning conversation
Ask the installer to describe the water path at the shower floor, corners, niche, bench, and plumbing penetrations. These are the places where a beautiful surface can hide an incomplete assembly. Keep product instructions with the project record and ask what test or inspection will happen before tile covers the membrane.
